Β32. The mind delivers his cobweb over to Him.
By this movement, the mind ultimately delivered his Creator the complicated cobweb he had weaved throughout the years. It is as if he tells Him: “Take it, I weaved it with excess diligence, but now I do not know how to handle it. I became knotted in it and now I do not know how to disentangle myself from it. I have desired so many things and so many desires have remained unfulfilled, that I do not know how to get out of the thread consisting of the thoughts which are involved with all these desires. Take now all threads of the cobweb and do with them whatever You want. If You deem that it will be useful if they continue to exist until I find the way to untie them, let them continue to exist around me and in me, even if they pester me. On the other hand, if you deem that it will be better if they come apart under the influence of Your Love, let them disintegrate; I sacrifice them gladly, regardless if I have woven them with toil and excess dedication during all these years”.
By that means, the mind acknowledges all neurons’ synapses of his brain – even his “silliest” habits, as he used to call them – as will, creation and property of his Creator which does not concern him. Hence, he will be able to cohabit with them in peace, living a parallel life without many interactions and not bound hand and foot by them. “The ‘place of refreshment’ where I was dreaming to construct my State of Freedom may probably be the very cell of my jail!” begins to suspect the mind, while he admires the unexpected turn his journey seems to take. “O Lord, you are grand, and your works are wonderful”, he concludes.
